This is an cobalt orbit kugel that is made from blown glass. The Kugel is dipped in water to give it a crackle affect. After a second layer of glass is added the ball is spun into a clear band of glass to give it the look of a comet. These balls measure about 5 and a half inches in diameter and are great for sunsticks.
